Description
LinkerBot rounds out its hand lineup with the Linker Hand L30 Pro, a tendon-driven design built for sensing as much as strength. Unlike its linkage and direct-drive siblings, this hand moves its joints through cables, much like the tendons in a human hand. It has eighteen active joints plus four passive ones for extra compliance. Because of this cable-based design, the fingers can snap open or closed in just 0.2 seconds. That is the fastest response in LinkerBot’s current range. Each fingertip also houses a high-sensitivity tactile sensor array, so the hand can actually detect what it’s touching. That sets it apart from the L6, L20, and O30, none of which confirm tactile sensing on their surfaces.

This hand trades raw power for precision and awareness. Its five fingers together can grip with up to 39N of force. The thumb and fingers also apply smaller, more delicate forces at the tip. It still manages a useful 15 kg static payload, enough for everyday manipulation tasks. A CAN FD interface runs the hand at 900Hz, one of the fastest update rates in the lineup. So commands reach the fingers almost instantly. At roughly 1.2 kg, the L30 Pro weighs the same as the L20. But it channels that mass into sensing and speed, instead of raw grip strength. Overall, the Linker Hand L30 Pro fits best where touch feedback and quick, precise movement matter more than maximum force.
