Walden is built to sort goods and assemble products, two capabilities that align directly with logistics and manufacturing operations. Its wheeled base supports movement across structured facility floors while its dual arms handle objects and components at workstations, shelves, conveyors, and production areas. Sorting goods can support inbound handling, inventory organization, parcel routing, and movement of parts between processes. Product assembly expands its role into manufacturing tasks that require consistent object handling and coordinated arm motions. Walden is in early production and limited release. Walden Robotics is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and originated as a spinout from Toyota Research Institute. The company reported $300 million in funding at a $1.1 billion valuation, with Toyota and Deviation Capital leading the round and NVIDIA, Boeing, and Samsung Ventures participating. Walden robots are already working in a Toyota plant in North America, marking a meaningful deployment in an operational manufacturing environment.
