Description

YMBot D is an industrial wheeled humanoid robot from YMBot (Jiangsu Yunmu Zhizao Technology Co., Ltd.), a robotics company in Jiangsu, China. Its founders come from Northwestern Polytechnical University, the Harbin Institute of Technology and China’s aerospace industry. The robot pairs a humanlike upper body with a mobile wheeled base. Notably, it can fold down from 165 cm to just 110 cm. As a result, it moves and stores easily in tight spaces.

YMBot designed the D model for practical work in many settings. For example, it can handle industrial tasks, collect training data, patrol for security and help at home. Its two seven-joint arms move much like human arms. In addition, dexterous hands let it grasp a wide range of objects. Therefore, one robot can cover both factory jobs and service roles.

The robot finds its own way around. Its base maps the surroundings and navigates on its own. Meanwhile, operators can take control through VR headsets or wearable motion-capture suits. These teleoperation options also make it a strong tool for gathering real-world data. YMBot’s industrial robots run the company’s Primitive X model, which judges whether objects can be grasped and how much they can carry.

YMBot also built the D model for long working days. It runs for about eight hours on a charge and returns to its dock to recharge by itself. Furthermore, a network port lets developers build their own applications. Even small details, like gradient vent holes on the back and ears, add a playful design touch. In short, YMBot D offers a flexible, hard-working humanoid for industry and services alike.
