Description
Y4 is a fixed-station, dual-arm robot from Tlibot (Sichuan Tianlian Robot Co., Ltd.), a robotics company based in Mianyang, China. Tlibot builds its own robot joints and arms, and Y4 puts two of its arms on a humanlike torso. Unlike Tlibot’s Y1 and Y2 robots, Y4 does not drive around. Instead, it stays in one place on the floor or rolls on casters when moved by hand. As a result, it offers a simple, stable platform for desk-height work.
Tlibot designed Y4 mainly for data collection. Teams use it to record real robot movements and train AI models for embodied intelligence. For example, operators can guide its arms through tasks while sensors capture the data. In addition, each arm lifts up to 5 kg and works around a typical tabletop height. Therefore, it suits labs that need large amounts of reliable manipulation data.
Y4 keeps its design lean and flexible. It weighs no more than 55 kg, much lighter than Tlibot’s mobile robots. Meanwhile, it runs from a power control cabinet instead of a battery, so it can work all day without recharging. It does not include its own computer. Instead, customers connect their own PC, which lets each lab choose the computing power it needs.

My mission, together with the team, is to help your organization understand the landscape, compare solutions, and move toward successful robot deployments.
Developers can work with Y4 through ROS 2 and an open API. It also offers two Ethernet ports and three USB 3.0 ports for cameras and other sensors. Moreover, teams can bolt it to the floor for maximum stability or use casters to move it between workstations. Its lower cost and simple setup make it practical for building data-collection fleets. In short, Y4 gives research teams an affordable, focused station for gathering robot training data.
