Description
RobotEra built the XHAND1 Pro to bring human-like dexterity to robotic hands. It has five fingers and moves with twelve independent joints, so it can curl, pinch, and twist much like a real hand. Because of this range of motion, the hand can rotate its index finger sideways or shift its thumb into a different grip position. As a result, it handles small, delicate objects as easily as larger, heavier ones. Each fingertip also carries sensors that detect pressure, texture, and even temperature. Therefore, the hand can adjust its grip in real time rather than relying on fixed, pre-set movements. This combination of movement and feeling gives it a level of control that few robotic hands can match.

Strength sets the XHAND1 Pro apart from many lighter dexterous hands on the market. It can grip firmly enough to lift over 24 kg with all five fingers working together. Meanwhile, its joints can also be pushed back gently without breaking, which helps the hand absorb sudden bumps or impacts. This back-drivable design supports safer testing and more natural interaction with people and objects nearby. In addition, researchers can pair the hand with common robotics software, so it fits easily into existing projects. Because of this flexibility, the XHAND1 Pro serves labs, universities, and companies working on imitation learning, teleoperation, and general-purpose robots. Altogether, it stands as one of RobotEra’s core building blocks for advanced humanoid manipulation.
