Description

X-Bot, also called Boxing (博行), is a full-size bipedal humanoid robot from Yue Quan Bionics, a robotics company based in Beijing, China. Two leading bionics scientists founded the company, and it focuses on robots that copy how the human body works. X-Bot stands 167 cm tall, close to an average adult. It walks on two legs and uses humanlike arms and hands. As a result, it can work in spaces built for people.

Yue Quan Bionics builds on a unique idea called “bionic tension-compression” technology. Simply put, it mimics how human bones, muscles and ligaments work together. For example, rigid parts carry pressure while flexible parts carry pulling forces, much like in our bodies. This approach aims for robots that use less energy and touch people more safely. Therefore, X-Bot reflects the company’s goal of highly lifelike humanoids.

The robot moves smoothly and powerfully. Strong motor modules drive its legs, so it can walk steadily on its own. In addition, its control software keeps learning and improving its walking gait over time. A depth camera and a 360° LiDAR in its head help it understand its surroundings. Meanwhile, its seven-joint arms can carry up to 20 kg together.

X-Bot also pairs naturally with the company’s own dexterous hands. Users can fit it with the touch-sensitive X-Hand M1 or the ultra-flexible Y-Hand M1. Together, they let the robot combine whole-body movement with fine hand work. Yue Quan Bionics targets reception, guided tours, delivery, education, medical assistance and factory support. In short, X-Bot offers a versatile, human-inspired platform for many real-world roles.
