Description
The Wave W02 is a compact, five-finger robotic hand from Sharpa, an AI robotics company based in Singapore. Sharpa designed it as a smaller and lighter follow-up to its Wave W01 hand. As a result, it fits better in spaces built for human hands and puts less load on a robot’s arm. Its fingers move much like ours, so it can grasp, pinch and handle a wide range of everyday objects. It can even pick up very thin items that other hands struggle with.

Touch sits at the heart of the W02’s design. Detailed sensors in the fingertips feel pressure, slip and changing forces in real time. In addition, an electronic skin spreads that sense of touch across the fingers and palm. Therefore, the hand can control its grip with the whole hand, not just the tips. It also resists dust and splashes, and an optional glove makes it waterproof for tougher real-world jobs.
