Description
W-Bot, also called Bowen, is a wheeled humanoid robot from Yue Quan Bionics, a robotics company based in Beijing, China. It stands 178 cm tall, about the height of a tall adult. Instead of walking, it rolls on a compact wheeled base. However, it keeps humanlike hips, knees and ankles above that base. As a result, it combines the stability of wheels with the reach and flexibility of a human body.
The robot’s legs fold in three places, much like a person crouching down. This design lets W-Bot work anywhere from floor level up to 2.2 meters high. For example, it can pick items from low bins or reach high shelves. Meanwhile, Yue Quan Bionics calls its base the world’s smallest humanoid chassis. Therefore, the robot can move through narrow aisles and tight workspaces.
W-Bot also brings strong, precise arms. Each arm has seven joints, like a human arm, and can lift up to 10 kg. In addition, force sensors in the wrists let it measure the weight of what it grabs. Users can fit it with the company’s own dexterous hands, X-Hand M1 or Y-Hand M1. Together, these hands and arms let it handle both heavy and delicate objects.

Smart sensing and control tie everything together. Depth cameras and a 360° LiDAR help it see and map its surroundings. Moreover, two NVIDIA computers run a layered neural network that keeps its whole body balanced. A large battery supports long working sessions. In short, W-Bot offers a capable, flexible humanoid for real tasks in tight, varied spaces.
