Description
Vesoma is a robotics company based in Munich, Germany, and Limassol, Cyprus. The company builds humanoid robots that aim to fill a growing labor gap in factories, warehouses, and care work. Vesoma calls its technology “Physical General Intelligence.” In practice, this means a robot that learns physical tasks the way a person does, through trial and error rather than by copying humans. Founders Nikolai Ensslen and Peter Skoromnyi started the company in December 2025. Since then, the team has grown to more than 60 people across two European hubs.
Most humanoid robot makers train their machines by showing them human demonstrations. Vesoma takes a different route. Its robot explores on its own, discovers what works for its body, and improves the longer it runs. As a result, the skills it picks up rest on real physics rather than on memorized examples. This matters because a robot trained only on demonstrations can fail the moment conditions change, often without even noticing. Vesoma’s early walking prototype, known as Kyle, learned to walk this way. Nobody programmed its gait by hand.
Vesoma 1 is the humanoid robot the company plans to bring to market. Today, it exists only as a design vision. Alpha prototypes, however, already walk in the lab. Vesoma builds the body itself, together with the AI that controls it, instead of buying parts from outside suppliers. This choice, the company says, speeds up learning. After all, every hardware change also reshapes what the robot can learn. Safety guides the design from the first sketch, not just the final check. In fact, one co-founder previously built safety systems that other robot makers use today.

Vesoma wants its robots to start in factories, warehouses, and logistics centers. Over time, it plans to expand into other kinds of work. The company chose Europe on purpose. Its leaders argue that Europe has the industrial history and safety culture this new category needs. Meanwhile, the team has set clear limits on how its robots can be used: not for weapons, the military, or surveillance, directly or indirectly. Vesoma expects to unveil its first production robot in early 2027. Until then, the team keeps testing, building, and refining Vesoma 1 in Munich and Limassol.
