Description
NEXO comes from Galaxea Dynamics, the hardware arm of Chinese robotics company Galaxea AI. The team introduced the humanoid robot at the 2026 World Robot Conference in Beijing. It represents the company’s newest generation of wheeled, dual-arm robots. As a result, NEXO builds on years of experience from Galaxea’s earlier wheeled humanoid line.
The robot moves on a slim, wheeled base instead of walking legs. This design lets it slip through narrow aisles and crowded workspaces with ease. Meanwhile, its two arms handle real physical work, from lifting boxes to folding cartons. Therefore, NEXO fits naturally into busy manufacturing floors and logistics centers.

Fundamentals, Architectures, Vendors and the Ten-Year Outlook
Galaxea built NEXO to sense force with remarkable precision throughout its whole body. This sensitivity lets it grip fragile items gently and adjust instantly to unexpected resistance. Its arms also work together in a coordinated way, keeping the robot stable during complex tasks. Consequently, NEXO can handle unpredictable, real-world objects rather than just repeating fixed motions.

Galaxea paired robot with its own embodied AI models, developed under the company’s “Hardware + Intelligence” strategy. This pairing lets NEXO generalize across different tasks instead of needing constant reprogramming. During its debut, the robot completed thousands of demanding cycles without failure. Overall, NEXO signals Galaxea’s push to move embodied AI from the lab into everyday industrial work.
