Description
Lumen H1 is a full-size humanoid robot from Guanggu Dongzhi (HECbot), a robotics company based in Wuhan, China. HEC Group founded the company in 2025 together with AgiBot, the Peking University Wuhan AI Institute and PsiBot. Lumen H1 is the flagship of the company’s “Photon” (Lumen) robot family. It launched in July 2025 as the company’s first mass-produced humanoid. At 169 cm tall, it stands close to the height of an average adult.
Guanggu Dongzhi designed H1 for interactive service work. For example, it can explain exhibits in showrooms, guide shoppers in malls and welcome visitors at front desks. It also handles customer service and business questions. The company applies human-factors engineering, so every gesture feels natural and comfortable to people. As a result, H1 suits entertainment, eldercare and retail settings.
The robot talks with people in a smart, natural way. A large voice model and lifelike speech synthesis let it hold real conversations. In addition, businesses can build their own knowledge base for it. It also picks up speech accurately even in noisy spaces. Meanwhile, humanlike movements and dexterous hands add expressive body language to every conversation.

Safety and easy operation round out the design. LiDAR and a depth camera give it a panoramic view, so it avoids obstacles without blind spots. Moreover, redundant backups, dual-channel control and PLd-level safety protection help keep people safe. Users can control it from a remote, phone or computer, and a standby station handles transport and charging. Notably, H1 has even made hand-poured coffee on Chinese national TV.
