Description

LinkerBot, a Chinese robotics company, builds the Linker Hand L6. It copies the shape of a human hand, with five fingers and a thumb that moves independently. Unlike many dexterous hands that rely on tendons, this one uses a rigid linkage system driven by a self-developed electric cylinder. Because of this, it keeps its grip steady and precise even under heavier loads. The hand can support up to 28 kg of static payload, which puts it well above many hands in its size class. At the same time, it reacts quickly, closing its grip in roughly a third of a second.

A brushless motor and ball-screw mechanism drive the hand’s six active joints, with five additional passive joints adding extra compliance. This combination gives the hand real strength: its five fingers together can grip with up to 50N of force. Four-finger fingertip force reaches 15N, while the thumb adds up to 12N on its own. So the hand can handle both delicate pinches and firmer, full-hand holds. LinkerBot also kept the build light, at just 607 grams, so it mounts easily on collaborative arms and service robots. Overall, the Linker Hand L6 pairs a strong, rigid drivetrain with a compact frame built for real-world handling tasks.
