Description
Helix 02 is the second generation of Figure AI’s in-house robot brain. The first Helix only steered the upper body of Figure’s humanoids. In contrast, Helix 02 drives the whole robot, from legs and torso to wrists and fingers, using camera pixels alone. Figure calls it its most capable humanoid model so far. It matters because walking, balancing, and handling objects now come from one learned system. Before, separate controllers had to hand off tasks to each other.
The system has three layers that work together. A slow layer reads the scene and the instruction, then a faster layer turns that goal into full-body motion. Finally, a very fast balance layer, trained in simulation, keeps the robot steady. With this setup, a Figure 03 unloaded and reloaded a dishwasher across a kitchen for four minutes without help. It also picked single pills from an organizer and pushed exactly 5 ml out of a syringe. Figure keeps the model for its own robots, so outside developers cannot license or download it.
