Description
Gento Luna is a wheeled, folding humanoid robot from Gento Robotics, a Chinese robotics company. Gento launched it in August 2026 alongside its sister robot, Gento Skye. Luna combines a humanlike upper body with an omnidirectional wheeled base. Notably, it folds from 170 cm down to just 79 cm. As a result, it fits into elevators and tight storage spaces with ease.
Luna’s standout feature is full-body force control. Its arms, waist and legs all sense and manage the forces they apply. Therefore, the robot yields gently when it touches people or objects, which makes close collaboration safer. In addition, it constantly calculates its own stability and adjusts its posture to avoid tipping over. Each seven-joint arm also lifts up to 6 kg with very high precision.
The robot moves and navigates with ease. Its wheeled base can rotate in place and slide in any direction. Meanwhile, 3D LiDAR and ultrasonic sensors build detailed maps and help it avoid obstacles in real time. A powerful NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin computer runs its software on board. Moreover, an expressive lighting system and visual recognition make it warm and engaging during reception and tours.

Gento designed Luna for many settings. These include home service, research and education, industrial inspection and commercial services. Developers get full ROS 2 support, a complete SDK and open APIs. Its battery runs four to eight hours, and users can charge it manually, let it dock itself or swap batteries quickly. In short, Gento Luna offers a safe, flexible and developer-friendly humanoid for both work and research.
