Description
Genie Envisioner 2.0, or GE 2.0, is a world model from AgiBot, a Shanghai humanoid robot maker. AgiBot announced it in April 2026 as the next step after its open Genie Envisioner from 2025. Instead of controlling a robot directly, it acts as a learned simulator. It watches camera views, takes in a planned set of robot moves and then predicts the video that would follow. So teams can test and train robot skills inside the model rather than on costly real hardware. AgiBot calls this shift a move from world action models to full world simulators.
GE 2.0 keeps stable video for close to a minute, so it can play out a whole task from start to finish. It also keeps head and wrist cameras consistent and estimates the robot’s joint states. In addition, a built-in judge scores whether a simulated attempt actually finished the task. That lets developers rank policies and run reinforcement learning without a real robot. AgiBot released code and a distilled 2B checkpoint for its Genie-01 robot in June 2026, under a mostly non-commercial license. Later, the model ranked first on the WorldArena Track 1 leaderboard for world models.
