Description
Elixis is a general-purpose biped humanoid robot from Addverb, a robotics company based in Noida, India. Addverb designed it to help people rather than replace them. The robot takes on dull, dirty and dangerous work in logistics, warehousing, healthcare and retail. As a result, human workers can focus on tasks that need their skills and judgment. It stands 175 cm tall, about the height of an adult.
Elixis walks on two legs and adapts its steps to real work sites. In addition, it uses five-finger dexterous hands to grasp, turn and place objects with care. Teams can also swap in a simple parallel-jaw gripper for basic handling jobs. Moreover, compliant control makes its movements gentle and safe around people. A two-layer safety system watches over the robot while it works.
