Description
CHOHO Hand (臻手) is a chain-driven, five-finger dexterous hand from Choho Industrial (征和工业), a Chinese chain manufacturer based in Qingdao. Choho has made industrial chains for about 30 years. It launched the CHOHO Hand in January 2026 as the world’s first chain-driven dexterous hand. Instead of tendons or linkages, tiny roller chains and sprockets move the fingers. As a result, the hand transfers power very efficiently and handles heavy loads with high precision.

Choho describes the hand as an “octagon warrior,” strong in eight areas at once. For example, it carries heavy loads, resists impacts and works reliably for millions of cycles. In addition, it resists wear, fire, rust and corrosion, and the chain design spreads out the force of sudden knocks. The hand can grasp odd-shaped parts, assemble small components and organize cables. Therefore, it suits factories, sorting lines, medical work and harsh environments, and robot makers such as AgiBot and ROKAE already use it.
