Description
Centaur-G1 is a wheeled humanoid robot from Elite Robots (艾利特机器人), a Chinese maker of collaborative robot arms founded in 2016. Elite Robots launched it on May 21, 2026, in Hangzhou. It follows the company’s “one brain, many forms” strategy, which already includes collaborative arms and mobile manipulators. The robot pairs a humanlike upper body with two high-precision arms on an omnidirectional wheeled base. Elite Robots began humanoid research in 2021 and validated a prototype in 2025 before launching the product.
Precision sets Centaur-G1 apart. Its arms come from Elite’s industrial cobot experience, so they repeat movements to within a tenth of a millimeter. For example, the robot can plug in optical fibers and assemble optical modules for AI data centers. Force sensors in its wrists let it feel tiny contact forces, which prevents damage to delicate parts. As a result, it handles sub-millimeter tasks that most humanoids cannot.
The robot runs on Elite’s own Primo embodied AI platform. This system combines vision, depth, force feedback and natural language into one decision process. Meanwhile, it can explore large workspaces on its own, build semantic maps and break long tasks into steps. In addition, it learns new skills from a few human demonstrations. LiDAR, head and wrist cameras give it a full view of its surroundings.

My mission, together with the team, is to help your organization understand the landscape, compare solutions, and move toward successful robot deployments.
Elite Robots targets high-end manufacturing first. Beyond optical modules, the robot can inspect AI server rooms, sort phone packaging and pipette samples in labs. The company also sees uses in eldercare, unmanned stores and homes. Moreover, it has opened joint labs with leading optical module makers to scale up deployment. In short, Centaur-G1 brings industrial-grade precision to the wheeled humanoid form.
