Description

The Alice M1 is an innovative mobile humanoid robot platform created by the South Korean company AeiROBOT. Unlike many traditional humanoids that focus on bipedal walking, the M1 utilizes a stable, omnidirectional wheeled base. This design allows the robot to navigate complex industrial environments with high precision and reliability. The manufacturer emphasizes practical deployment, making the Alice M1 a functional partner for real-world labor rather than just a research project.

One of the robot’s most impressive features is its adjustable “telescoping” waist mechanism. This system allows the machine to change its height between 130 cm and 180 cm. Because of this flexibility, the robot can reach high shelves or work at low assembly stations with ease. This adaptability ensures that the Alice M1 fits into various workspace configurations without requiring expensive environmental modifications.

The Alice M1 also boasts a high degree of physical dexterity through its sophisticated upper body. Each arm features seven degrees of freedom, while the hands offer six degrees of freedom. Consequently, the robot can perform complex manipulation tasks that typically require human-like range of motion. Integrated sensors like 3D LiDAR and stereo cameras help the robot perceive its surroundings and avoid obstacles in real time.

Finally, the platform runs on a powerful NVIDIA AGX Orin computing module to handle advanced AI workloads. This hardware enables the robot to process vision data and execute autonomous navigation commands quickly. Furthermore, the Alice M1 targets industries like manufacturing, shipbuilding, and construction. By taking over repetitive or dangerous tasks, this robot improves overall workplace safety and increases industrial productivity.
