Description
ACT-2 is the second robot model from Sunday Robotics, the startup behind the Memo home robot. It builds on ACT-1, which Sunday introduced in late 2025. This time, Sunday focused on reliability inside real, messy homes. The company trained the model on a large set of human chore data, captured with sensors. Then it used targeted follow-up training to fix failures as they appeared. Sunday shared ACT-2 as a preview in July 2026.
The headline result is laundry folding. In 785 tries across nine garment types, Memo folded clothes successfully 99.1% of the time in homes it had never seen. It also recovered when clothes landed on the floor and kept working while a child played nearby. Because Memo can move, change height, and lean in, the model can tackle everything from baby clothes to large towels. Sunday is also working on vacuuming, tidying toys, and making coffee. Families can apply to the Memo Beta Program, which Sunday plans to start this fall.
