Realbotix launches Echo humanoid robots starting at $11,950
Realbotix has introduced its Echo humanoid robots at prices starting at $11,950, with deliveries scheduled for the second half of 2027, according to Interesting Engineering. The Canadian company’s companionship lineup comprises a tabletop model and a $59,950 full body version, pairing silicone skin and facial expressions with integrations for conversational AI platforms. These are interaction focused humanoids: the full body model’s advertised 39 degrees of freedom support upper body movement, rather than a fully articulated humanlike body.
The Echo Tabletop stands 32 inches tall, weighs approximately 25 pounds and has 17 degrees of freedom. Silicone synthetic skin covers its face and neck. Realbotix positions it for individual interactions in education, therapy and personal wellness, although those are intended applications rather than reported deployment results. The Echo Full Body stands 72 inches tall in its female configuration and 77 inches in its male configuration. Both versions measure 28 inches wide and deep and weigh approximately 88 pounds. Realbotix describes fluid upper body motion for this model; its larger joint count should not be read as a claim of unrestricted humanlike mobility. Both configurations feature facial expressions and chest mounted speakers for spoken interactions.
The purchase price also comes with a mandatory monthly software subscription, making the hardware price only part of the ownership cost. Customers can reserve a unit with a $199 deposit. Realbotix plans an initial production run of 250 robots, split between 225 tabletop units and 25 full body models, for delivery in the second half of 2027.
