Description
Being-H0.8 is the newest robot foundation model from BeingBeyond, a startup based in Beijing, China. The team released it on July 28, 2026, after the earlier Being-H0.5 and H0.7 models. This version adds a sense of touch to the company’s world-action approach. In addition, it learns from more than 500,000 hours of first-person human video with touch labels. The team says no earlier model has used tactile pretraining at this scale. So the release pushes robot learning beyond what cameras alone can capture.
Being-H0.8 helps robot hands handle delicate, contact-heavy jobs. For example, demos show robots squeezing toothpaste, plucking grapes and cleaning up spills. One shared action format covers human hands, robot hands and simple grippers. As a result, skills learned from people transfer more easily to different robots. A fast control loop also lets the robot react to touch while it works. The paper is still marked as coming soon, while code from earlier models sits on the company GitHub.
