Description
Handle-L1 is a lightweight, five-finger dexterous hand from CASBOT (中科慧灵), a humanoid robotics company based in Beijing. CASBOT’s founding team comes from the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Automation. The company launched the Handle-L1 in November 2024, alongside its first full-size humanoid. It matches the human hand 1:1 in proportion. As a result, it handles objects in the same natural ways people do: gripping, pinching, pressing, hooking and lifting.

Despite its light weight, the hand holds heavy loads and still treats fragile items gently. For example, it can pick up potato chips, tofu and eggs without crushing them. In addition, it supports position and force control, so it adapts its grip to soft, delicate or oddly shaped objects. CASBOT also offers a Pro version with fingertip touch sensors. Its open interfaces and web-based setup let developers connect it to robot arms and teleoperation systems quickly, with no special host software needed.
