Description

CYBORG HO2 is a human-like, five-finger dexterous hand from Cyborg Robotics (赛博格机器人), a robotics company based in Guangdong, China. Cyborg modeled it on the tendons of the human hand. As a result, its fingers wrap around and adapt to objects of almost any shape. The hand weighs only 750 g, yet it can hold a 40 kg load, more than 50 times its own weight. In addition, it survives drops from over 1 meter without damage.

Cyborg kept the hand’s design simple to make it tough and reliable. For example, six motors drive its main movements, while tendons link the remaining joints. This approach rates the hand for about a million uses. Moreover, it connects to robots through common industrial interfaces. Therefore, it suits Cyborg’s own humanoids as well as other robots that need strong, adaptable hands for industrial and hazardous work.
