Description
Tianzhen Z1 (天真 Z1) is a full-size humanoid robot from Tlibot (Sichuan Tianlian Robot Co., Ltd.), a robotics company based in Mianyang, China. Tlibot debuted it in July 2026 as its next-generation, fully in-house humanoid. Z1 stands 167 cm tall, close to an average adult. Notably, it weighs only 45 kg, which keeps it light for its size. Its name, Tianzhen, means “innocent” or “natural” in Chinese.
Tlibot gave Z1 a bionic, aesthetic design. It blends a technical look with soft, rounded shapes. As a result, it appears friendly and approachable rather than mechanical. In addition, its modular skeleton lets companies customize its appearance for their own industry. For example, a museum and a retail brand could give it completely different looks.
The robot moves with unusually humanlike subtlety. It has up to 40 active joints, not counting its hands. Its neck and waist each have five degrees of freedom, and its shoulders have two more. Therefore, it can perform small, natural gestures such as shrugging its shoulders. Meanwhile, multi-jointed hands let it gesture and interact expressively.

My mission, together with the team, is to help your organization understand the landscape, compare solutions, and move toward successful robot deployments.
Tlibot targets Z1 at people-facing roles. These include guided tours in exhibition halls, commercial interaction, cultural tourism performances and research. Its natural movements and custom looks help it connect with visitors. The robot remains at an early stage, with a full launch still to come. In short, Tianzhen Z1 shows Tlibot’s push toward expressive, customizable humanoids for public spaces.
