Description
T1 is a bipedal humanoid robot from Tlibot (Sichuan Tianlian Robot Co., Ltd.), a robotics company based in Mianyang, China. Tlibot builds its own robot joints and arms, and T1 is its walking humanoid flagship. Unlike the company’s wheeled Y-series robots, T1 stands and walks on two legs. It also carries an unusually high number of joints for its weight. As a result, it moves with a wide, humanlike range of motion.
T1 packs strong joints into a light body. It weighs just 43 kg with its battery, yet its hip joints deliver up to 450 N·m of torque. For example, it can perform a deep squat while carrying more than 100 kg. In addition, each arm can lift up to 10 kg. Therefore, it combines a slim frame with surprising strength.
The robot moves with flexibility close to a person’s. Its waist twists left and right and bends deeply forward and back. Meanwhile, its hips and knees bend through very wide angles, which helps it squat, kneel and reach low objects. Each arm has nine joints, and each leg has seven, more than many humanoids. Moreover, its joints can move as fast as 720 degrees per second.

Tlibot designed T1 as a capable platform for research and future real-world work. Customers can add dexterous hands for finer manipulation. A large 1,110 Wh battery supports long sessions of testing and operation. The page also mentions an optional outer skin for a more humanlike look. In short, T1 shows how Tlibot’s in-house joint technology can power a strong, agile walking humanoid.
