Description
Y2-B is a wheeled, dual-arm humanoid robot from Tlibot (Sichuan Tianlian Robot Co., Ltd.), a robotics company based in Mianyang, China. Tlibot builds its own robot joints and arms, and Y2-B combines them on a mobile base. Its name comes from its key feature: a torso that pitches, or bends forward, like a person leaning over. As a result, it can reach down toward low surfaces and back up again. It is a lighter, more compact sibling of Tlibot’s lifting Y1 robot.
The bending torso gives Y2-B a wide reach for its size. Its working range spans more than 2.1 meters. For example, it can pick items from a low cart and place them on a table without moving its base. In addition, each of its two arms lifts up to 5 kg. Therefore, it suits everyday handling tasks in labs, shops and service spaces.
Y2-B moves through its surroundings on its own. LiDAR guides its route and scans for obstacles along the way. Meanwhile, it turns in place, which helps in tight corridors and crowded rooms. An NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX computer runs its software on board. Moreover, it weighs no more than 85 kg, about half as much as Y1.

My mission, together with the team, is to help your organization understand the landscape, compare solutions, and move toward successful robot deployments.
Tlibot designed Y2-B to be easy to develop and deploy. Developers can program it through ROS 2 and an open API. It also offers Ethernet, HDMI and USB ports for extra sensors or devices. Its battery lasts about four hours per charge. In short, Y2-B offers an affordable, compact mobile manipulator for research and light-duty work.
