Description

ATOM is a home-focused humanoid robot from Vbot (Vita Dynamics), a Beijing company founded in late 2024 by Yu Yinan, a former executive at autonomous-driving chipmaker Horizon Robotics. Vbot first made its name with “Datou” (Big Head), a consumer robot dog that sold out quickly. ATOM marks the company’s step into humanoids. Vbot unveiled it at the 2026 World Robot Conference in Beijing and opened pre-orders on the spot. Deliveries should begin by the end of 2026.

Vbot designed ATOM around everyday living spaces. At 160 cm tall, it sits between small, friendly robots and tall industrial ones. As a result, it can reach normal tables, cabinets and door handles without feeling overwhelming up close. Its arm span and leg length also follow the scale of homes and offices. In other words, Vbot shaped the robot to fit existing spaces instead of changing those spaces for the robot.

ATOM also looks and sounds friendlier than most humanoids. Soft fabric covers its body, and specially designed feet keep its steps quiet. Meanwhile, a screen on its face shows its status and mood. Vbot focuses on three core abilities: moving, handling objects and interacting with people. For example, early target tasks include making coffee and tidying up.

The robot runs on Vbot’s own AI technology. The company introduced its “Embodied Genome” system and three core models alongside ATOM. In addition, Vbot plans an agentic operating system so the robot can run many apps and services. It offers personal, enterprise and developer editions for different users. In short, ATOM aims to bring a practical, approachable humanoid into homes, shops, offices and public spaces.
