Description
Bolt is a full-size humanoid robot from MirrorMe Technology, a robotics company based in Beijing, China. MirrorMe unveiled it in February 2026 and named it after sprinter Usain Bolt. As the name suggests, Bolt focuses on speed. It became the first full-size humanoid to pass a peak speed of 10 meters per second. Today, MirrorMe reports a peak of over 11 meters per second, which makes it the fastest humanoid robot on land.
Bolt stands 175 cm tall and weighs 75 kg, close to an average adult. MirrorMe calls this the humanoid’s “ideal form.” In fact, the team designed the body around human proportions and the limits of its motors. As a result, it balances a humanlike look with explosive athletic power. It can also carry loads of up to 50 kg.
The robot builds on MirrorMe’s long focus on speed. Since 2016, the team has studied how fast robots can move. For example, its Black Panther II quadruped broke a 12-year speed record held by Boston Dynamics. Meanwhile, Bolt applies those lessons to a two-legged body. In launch footage, it even raced against the company’s founder, using a much faster stride rate.

MirrorMe sees Bolt as more than a record holder. In particular, the company wants it to serve as a “steel sparring partner” for professional sprinters. Athletes could train against it to push past their own limits. Bolt has also picked up new skills, such as juggling. In short, Bolt shows how far humanoid speed and athletic control can go.
