Description
Gaia Hand 20 is a five-finger dexterous robotic hand from Stella Robot (星际光年), a robotics startup based in Shenzhen, China. A team with roots at Tsinghua University and Harbin Institute of Technology founded the company. Stella built the hand as an affordable, modular platform for embodied AI research. Unlike most dexterous hands, it uses swappable joint modules. As a result, users can replace a worn joint themselves in under five minutes.

The hand moves much like a human hand, with a lifelike thumb and adaptive fingertips. In addition, it lifts heavy loads while staying light enough for most robot arms. Stella offers it in three editions with different levels of touch sensing. For example, the base edition suits motion research, while the top edition senses touch across the whole palm. Therefore, teams pay only for the sensing they need, and the hand works with popular simulation tools like Isaac Sim and MuJoCo.
