Description
H2-D is a dual-arm humanoid from Unitree Robotics, the Chinese robot maker from Hangzhou. Unlike Unitree’s walking humanoids, H2-D stands on a height-adjustable column instead of legs. It belongs to Unitree’s larger H2 series and borrows the upper body of the H2. The Flagship version adds a motorized wheeled base, so the robot can drive around on its own. In short, Unitree designed it for steady, precise work rather than athletic moves.
The robot has two long arms with seven joints each, much like human arms. It can also raise or lower its whole upper body along the column. As a result, H2-D reaches objects on low shelves as easily as items on high tables. Users can choose between a simple gripper, a three-finger hand or a five-finger dexterous hand. Meanwhile, cameras in its head and wrists help it see exactly what its hands are doing.
The H2-D Flagship version focuses on independent mobility. It uses LiDAR, a depth camera and ultrasonic sensors to find its way and avoid obstacles. Additionally, bumper sensors stop it when it touches something unexpected. A swappable battery in the base powers the robot, and the robot can return to charge on its own. Therefore, H2-D can move between workstations without constant human help.

My mission, together with the team, is to help your organization understand the landscape, compare solutions, and move toward successful robot deployments.
Unitree aims H2-D mainly at research labs, AI developers and companies that collect robot training data. Teams can use it to teach robots everyday manipulation tasks through demonstration and teleoperation. Moreover, the stable wheeled design lets it work for long hours in homes, labs or light industrial spaces. It also supports voice interaction through its built-in microphones and speaker. Overall, H2-D gives developers a practical, human-like platform for work that needs careful hands.
