Description
G1+ is the upgraded version of the G1, the compact humanoid from Unitree Robotics. The Chinese company from Hangzhou launched it on September 14, 2026. The G1 already ranks among the most widely used humanoids in labs and classrooms. G1+ keeps that approachable size, yet it improves how the robot moves, senses and interacts. In short, Unitree refreshed a proven platform instead of starting from scratch.
The new version brings six main upgrades. First, a more flexible neck lets the robot turn and tilt its head. Second, stronger shoulder and waist motors give it more power while they produce far less heat. In addition, G1+ gains a second camera for better vision and touch sensors on its head. A new microphone array also helps it hear voices more clearly from all directions.
Beyond these upgrades, G1+ stays easy to handle and transport. It stands about as tall as a young child, and it folds into a compact shape. The robot can also run from an external power supply for long sessions. As a result, teams can keep it working through long demos without swapping batteries. Researchers who choose the EDU version can add dexterous hands and extra computing power.

My mission, together with the team, is to help your organization understand the landscape, compare solutions, and move toward successful robot deployments.
Unitree aims G1+ mainly at research, education and robot development. Universities and developers use the G1 family to test walking, balance and AI control. Meanwhile, the robot’s athletic skills make it popular at shows and events. The G1+ costs slightly more than the original G1, but it offers more for the price. Overall, it shows how Unitree keeps making capable humanoids more accessible.
