Description

D01 is a dexterous humanoid robot from Sharpa, an AI robotics company based in Singapore. Sharpa builds it around one core idea: robots need human-like hands to do real work. For this reason, D01 carries the company’s Wave dexterous hands, which match a human hand in size and movement. It also has human-like arms and wrists. As a result, it can handle tools, parts and everyday objects with fine precision.

Unlike most robots, D01 can feel touch across its whole body. A thin electronic skin covers it and senses even the light brush of a feather. In addition, tactile sensors in the fingertips help it adjust its grip on fragile items. The robot stays light and moves quickly, yet each arm still lifts a solid load. Therefore, it balances strength, speed and gentle contact in one platform.

Sharpa also develops CraftNet, its own AI model for hands-on tasks. CraftNet combines vision, touch and language to plan and carry out actions. For example, a Sharpa humanoid autonomously assembled a paper windmill at CES 2026 in more than 30 steps. Other demos included plugging in chargers and peeling apples. Meanwhile, a built-in teleoperation system lets teams collect training data quickly.

Sharpa aims D01 at research labs, manufacturing, retail, hospitality and food service. Its adjustable height lets it work at low tables and higher counters alike. Furthermore, it supports ROS 2, so developers can connect it to their own software. Leading robotics labs already use Sharpa’s hands in their research. In short, D01 brings human-level dexterity and touch into a practical humanoid form.
