Description
KUAVO 5-W is a wheeled humanoid robot from Leju Robotics, a company based in Shenzhen, China. It combines a human-like upper body with an omnidirectional wheeled base. As a result, it moves in any direction and turns on the spot. Leju built it alongside the legged KUAVO 5, so customers can choose the form that fits their site. The wheeled version focuses on stable, long-lasting work in factories and service spaces.
The robot’s upper body reaches high shelves and low bins alike. Its waist rotates widely, so it can work all around itself without moving the base. In addition, teams can fit either a simple two-finger gripper or a five-finger dexterous hand. The hand modules also detach quickly for easy maintenance. Meanwhile, depth cameras and LiDAR help it map its surroundings and navigate on its own.
Leju designed KUAVO 5-W with industry in mind. For example, it targets car manufacturing, electronics assembly and logistics tasks. It also serves in showrooms, shops and banks as a guide or assistant. Moreover, the company tested it against industrial standards for reliability and electrical safety. Consequently, it can run for hours in demanding daily work.

Behind the hardware, Leju offers a full system for teaching the robot new skills. Operators first control the robot through VR teleoperation and record real-world data. Then GPU servers train imitation-learning models, which return to the robot as skill packages. Leju already runs this approach in training centers in Beijing and Shanghai. In short, KUAVO 5-W gives companies a practical way to bring embodied AI into real workplaces.
