Description
Feather Robotics builds a wheeled humanoid worker for warehouses, factories, restaurants, and labs. Instead of walking on two legs, Feather rolls on an omnidirectional base. As a result, it can glide sideways and turn in place without repositioning first. Because of this, it fits naturally into aisles, kitchens, and workstations built for people. The robot is already shipping to paying customers, not just sitting in a lab.
Feather weighs 105 kilograms, so it feels solid and steady on the job. Its torso also telescopes up and down. Consequently, it can work at heights between about 120 and 180 centimeters. For example, it can crouch to load a low shelf and then rise to reach a countertop. Its base moves at up to 1.3 meters per second, so it can cross a room quickly when needed. In addition, dual hot-swappable battery packs let an operator swap in a fresh one instead of stopping to recharge.
Feather’s two arms end in configurable hands. Depending on the task, a business can choose a six-degree-of-freedom gripper or a simpler two-finger jaw. Each arm lifts a few kilograms with precision, which suits picking, loading, and light assembly work. Meanwhile, a head-mounted stereo camera, plus optional wrist cameras, gives the robot the depth perception it needs. Underneath, an onboard computer handles perception and control. Because Feather runs on an open software kit, developers can connect their own AI models over time.

Feather Robotics prices the robot at $29,990, discounted from $32,990, with a one-year warranty. Therefore, a business can add a robot worker for less than many industrial robot arms cost. It also needs no fenced-off work cell. Still, Feather is not a certified collaborative robot, so any deployment should include its own safety review. Overall, Feather is an early but commercially real step toward general-purpose humanoid labor in everyday business settings.
