Description
AI² Robotics builds AlphaBot 2 as a general-purpose humanoid for real industrial work. The Shenzhen-based company unveiled this commercial model in April 2025. Unlike many humanoid rivals, AlphaBot 2 rolls on a six-wheeled base instead of walking legs. This choice trades stair-climbing for stability, durability, and lower manufacturing cost. As a result, the robot works reliably on factory floors and in busy public spaces, since it avoids the balance risks that legged robots face.
A humanoid torso sits atop that wheeled base, complete with two dexterous, five-fingered hands. An adjustable waist mechanism lifts and tilts the upper body. Thanks to this design, AlphaBot 2 reaches from floor level up to shelf height without repositioning. This flexibility matters on real production lines, where tasks rarely happen at one fixed height. The arms also carry a fine force-feedback system, which lets the robot grip firmly yet gently. Consequently, AlphaBot 2 handles fragile components and interacts safely alongside human coworkers.
Every AlphaBot runs on AlphaBrain, the company’s own vision-language-action platform. This system reads its surroundings, listens to natural language, and plans multi-step tasks on its own. It even reads human facial expressions to better anticipate what a coworker needs. Meanwhile, a dual-speed design splits the workload. One fast layer reacts to immediate situations, while a slower layer reasons through complex tasks. Together, these layers let AlphaBot 2 adapt to new jobs without extensive reprogramming.

AI² Robotics has already placed AlphaBot 2 into real workplaces across China. Semiconductor display maker HKC ordered over 1,000 units for its production lines. Automaker Dongfeng Liuzhou also signed on for factory deployment. Airports, biotech cleanrooms, and public service settings have welcomed the robot too. Because of this early traction, AI² Robotics raised $735 million in mid-2026 at a valuation nearing $3 billion. The company now plans a public listing within one to two years.
