Welcome, Astra Humanoid Robot by Apptronik!

The Astra is an upper-body humanoid robot manufactured by Apptronik in the USA. Designed with human safety and collaboration in mind, this robot has the ability to perform industrial tasks in the real world. It features modular mobility, which makes integration into existing workflows easy without necessitating a complete infrastructure reboot. The compact design harmoniously blends with advanced actuation to deliver precise and smooth movements. Astra can be mounted onto varying mobile platforms, thus extending its uses across multiple industries.

With 24 degrees of freedom overall and 12 on the hands, Astra offers superior dexterity, especially for intricate manipulation tasks, outperforming traditional industrial robots. It uses electric actuators for motion and likely incorporates an NVIDIA-based AI for computational needs. Equipped with dual Ability Hands by Psyonic, fine manipulation tasks are easily done, including handling delicate objects while keeping steady performance. It can interact safely with humans, crucial for shared workspaces.
