Galaxea Dynamics
Kengo is Galaxea Dynamics’ self-developed bipedal humanoid robot, unveiled June 2, 2026. Built with just two core actuator modules across the entire joint system, Kengo combines mass-production-ready hardware with Galaxea’s embodied AI brain and high-performance motion engine. The robot delivers over 130 N·m of joint torque, withstands repeated falls and impacts, and targets industrial manufacturing, commercial services, and everyday home life. Made in Beijing by one of China’s newer humanoid robotics unicorns.

Description
Kengo: Galaxea Dynamics’ first bipedal humanoid robot
Galaxea Dynamics unveiled Kengo on June 2, 2026 as its first self-developed bipedal humanoid robot. Specifically, the Beijing-based startup designed Kengo for real-world commercial deployment from day one. Unlike many humanoids that stop at demos, Kengo targets practical work across factories, commercial spaces, and homes. Additionally, the robot stands at human scale with a curved display face and signature LED lighting strips along the body. As a result, Kengo carries a distinct visual identity rather than blending into the growing humanoid crowd.
Engineered for mass production
Galaxea built Kengo with mass production in mind from the start. Specifically, just two core actuator modules drive every joint on the robot. Therefore, the manufacturing process stays simpler and the cost curve drops as production scales. In addition, the actuators use a fully hollow architecture, and the cables carry a rating of over 200,000 bending cycles. Each joint also delivers over 130 newton-meters of torque. Furthermore, the lightweight body lets Kengo move with dynamic agility — dancing, fighting stances, and explosive demos.
The embodied AI brain
The intelligence side comes from what Galaxea calls a high-performance motion engine paired with an embodied AI brain. First, the motion engine handles the cerebellum-level work — balance, joint coordination, real-time reactions. Meanwhile, the embodied AI layer handles higher-level reasoning and task planning. For example, Kengo can scrub a floor or carry a box across a yard with whole-body control. Importantly, the robot also withstands repeated falls and impacts without losing operational integrity. Ultimately, the design assumes the real world is messy and accidents happen.

About Galaxea Dynamics
Initially, Galaxea Dynamics emerged from Tsinghua and Stanford alumni in September 2023 and has scaled fast. Since then, the Beijing startup has raised $100 million at a $700 million valuation. More recently, Galaxea joined the ranks of Chinese humanoid unicorns at around 10 billion yuan. Kengo joins a family that already includes the R1 wheeled humanoids and the A1 Z desktop arm. A VLA All-in-One Unit rounds out the lineup. Customers can pick from three color options. Notably, the company already counts thousands of orders or letters of intent from leading enterprises. Overall, Galaxea positions Kengo as the bipedal piece that completes its full-stack robotics platform.
