Deep Robotics

The DEEP Robotics DR02 is an industrial-grade, full-size humanoid robot — the first claimed with IP66 all-weather waterproof and dustproof protection. Built for rain, dust, and extreme temperatures, it targets power, logistics, inspection, and rescue work with 275 TOPS onboard compute and a modular quick-swap design.

Description

DEEP Robotics builds the DR02, a next-generation industrial humanoid designed for the places other robots avoid. The Hangzhou company unveiled it in late 2025. It headlines one bold claim: the world’s first full-size humanoid with an IP66 waterproof and dustproof rating. In plain terms, the DR02 keeps working in rain, humidity, and heavy dust. Most humanoids simply stop when the weather turns. So this rating targets a real industry pain point rather than a spec-sheet brag.

The robot also handles a wide temperature range, from -20°C to 55°C. As a result, it moves between a cold-storage facility and a hot workshop without missing a beat. DEEP Robotics designed it to look and move much like a person. It therefore fits the tools and spaces humans already use. It walks steadily across rough terrain, climbs modest steps, and carries cargo. Consequently, sites can deploy it without rebuilding their workflows.

Under the shell, the DR02 runs on a high-performance NVIDIA compute platform delivering 275 TOPS. LiDAR and cameras handle perception. Because of that, the robot senses its surroundings, plans routes, and adapts on the fly. DEEP Robotics also gave it a modular quick-detach design. Operators swap a forearm, full arm, or full leg in minutes. This keeps downtime low and maintenance simple, which matters most in continuous operation.

My mission, together with the team, is to help your organization understand the landscape, compare solutions, and move toward successful robot deployments.

For now, DEEP Robotics positions the DR02 as an industrial product rather than a lab prototype. The company sells to businesses on a quote basis. It already ships quadruped robots worldwide, so it brings real deployment experience to this launch. Still, the DR02 targets industry, not the home. DEEP Robotics wants a rugged worker for power utilities, inspection, logistics, and rescue. Those jobs punish fragile machines. In that niche, the all-weather build is the DR02’s defining edge.
